MTN IPULSE: HOW TO MIGRATE | BENEFITS | UNLIMITED NIGHT BROWSING

A tweet sent out by the @MTNNG twitter handle caught my eye few minutes ago, I had to reply and ask if they're being serious right now.  the tweet announced that MTN now offers Unlimited Free Night Browsing from 1am to 5am, which can be used to download unlimited, live streaming or to update windows.  As you would expect, MTN always has a condition attached to mouthwatering offers like this, and this offer is only open to those on MTN iPulse.  So here's what you have to do to enjoy unlimited Free Night Browsing on MTN.  You may like to read: MTN STARTPACK : HOW TO MIGRATE, BENEFITS, TARIFFS AND BONUSES

Subscribe to MTN iPulse tarrif plan, iPulse is a special call tariff plan for students on campus which allows calls to any network at flat rate of 11kobo per second but your first minute every day is charged at 40kobo per second.  iPulse users also enjoy cheaper SMS rates at 2Naira only instead of the usual 4Naira.

HOW TO MIGRATE TO MTN iPULSE?

To Migrate to MTN iPulse simply dial *406# or SMS 406 to 131

NOTE:**********************

After successful migration to MTN iPulse, you must spend a minimum of N200 on calls or SMS to qualify for the Free Night Browsing.

NOT A STUDENT OR NOT ON CAMPUS?

iPulse migration still works for those not around campus but at higher tariff of 15kobo per second to all networks after the first minute each day is charged at 40kobo per second.

WARNING:**********************

If you intend to migrate to iPulse just to enjoy free night browsing on MTN, I suggest you do not use your main MTN number.

Use a different SIM dedicated just for browsing, because the daily initial first minute call charges of 40kobo applies to MTN-MTN and MTN-Others Networks.

Examples:  First 60seconds MTN-MTN charged at 40kobo in the day gives you 11kobo call (15kobo off campus) but if you call MTN-Others Network you still get charged 40kobo for another 60 seconds.

Find out more about MTN iPulse at www.mtnonline.com

If this is not a limited time promo, MTN would be the first of 4 major carriers to offer free night and unlimited mobile internet access.

Working Abroad: What You Need to Know

Working abroad can be one of the most exciting adventures of your life.  From seeing incredible places to meeting amazing new people, working abroad doesn’t just expand your career horizons, it also changes the way you see and experience the world.  Going on a vacation is great, but there’s something really unique about immersing yourself in a new culture and living like the locals do, all while being paid!  In order to set yourself up for success on your working abroad journey, here are the top essential things you need to know to be a working abroad pro.

Get the job
If this is your first foray into working abroad, already having a job lined up before you go can make a world of difference. Many workers simply transfer within their existing company. But, for those who are making a bigger transition, the gig economy offers lots of options. Explore remote jobs using sites like We Work Remotely or freelance platforms like Upwork. Whether you transfer with your existing company, or you work through an agency, knowing that you have a job on the other end of your journey will make the transition much smoother and set you up for success in your new role as an expat.

Save before you go
Even if you have a job lined up before you take off, you’ll need to save up to at least 2 months of living costs for your new country just to cover your bases. There are many unforeseen expenses that can come up. Having that safety net will prevent you from going into unnecessary debt.  Whether it’s hidden broker’s fees for finding somewhere to live or inflated costs for buying new furniture, you can never have too much extra cash to help get you settled in your new city.

Get the right adaptors
It may seem oddly specific, but the number one tool you will need abroad is your multi-country adaptor. This is a nonnegotiable as every country has their own unique electrical situation.  Since replacing all of your electronics is serious overkill, the adaptor will become your best friend. One piece of advice: make sure you check the voltage of your electronics and that they adhere to that country’s standards. No adapter in the world is going to save your hairdryer if you plug it in and it’s the wrong voltage.

Learn about money transfers and credit cards
When you first move to a new country, getting set up with a bank account can prove tricky and time consuming. Getting a credit card can be even more complicated. You could be using your country of origin credit cards for quite some time. Make sure that you have a card that has no foreign fees. Bring a backup card that you don’t carry with you on your person. If your credit card gets stolen or goes missing, you won’t have a bank you can just walk into to replace it. It can take some time for replacement cards to arrive, so keep yourself covered by having a spare.

Get international health insurance
Speaking of coverage, getting health insurance can feel rather daunting. Each country has their own set of rules about health insurance, and you may not be eligible for a local plan. In order to mitigate the stress around this, there are a number of different international health insurance plans that can cover you to varying degrees. Many of these are affordable and will give you peace of mind. For full local comprehensive coverage, discuss options with your employer and see if they can supplement your international insurance plan or offer you a local plan as part of your package.

Research the visas
Many countries require that you obtain a work permit or visa to work legally before entering the country. The visa process can be complicated and lengthy and depends quite heavily on whether your job will be organizing it for you or if you need a lawyer to help you on your way.  There are a myriad of scenarios that can come up depending on your country of origin, as well as the agreements that your country of origin has with the country you are going to. Don’t despair, because there is a light at the end of the paperwork tunnel as long as you’re organized and well informed.

Bring prepared before you jet off on your adventure will help mitigate a myriad of different problems that can pop up when you’re first settling in. There will be days where you feel overwhelmed and unsure of your next move. Just remember – this is an incredible opportunity and once you get to know how your new digs operate, you’ll be living like the locals in no time!

Telegram Messenger App, The Best Alternative To Whatsapp Messenger

I have come across different messenger apps all across the internet, Google playstore and Apple's app store but I must say there is none like Telegram so I decided to write about it to you guys, so you can experience it for your self.

What is Telegram?

Telegram is a messaging app that is easy to use, fast, and also is free for life unlike whatsapp whose free verson has limitations and to have access to the full version you need to pay $0.99.

How does It work?

Telegram is supercool, with alot of Amazing features. With Telegram you can shares videos of up to 1GB with friends, you can also create a group chat with up to 5,000+ friends, That is what I call maximum connectivity. You can also send photos as well as audios in an instant. Since all messages are in the cloud you can easily access your messages from any android or iOS device.

Why Should I Choose Telegram?

I have been using Telegram for 2 years now and I must confess that the user experience has been awesome. For those of you who like Security and Privacy, then Secret chat is for you. Secret chat features an end-to-end encryption which helps make sure that a message is only read by it's intended recipient. You can set a message to self destruct every 5secs which means that every 5 seconds after you send a message, it self destructs, and no one will have a single clue of prove that such conversation took place between you and the recipient. The message cannot also be retrieved which makes it cooler so If someone wanted to use your Conversation as a prove of something, it won't be possible.
Telegram is also fast and offers unlimited cloud storage for all telegram messages and media so you can easily and securely access your messages from multiple devices.

It works with even the weakest mobile connection, it is very fast even with your 2G network. And your messages are compressed to the best minimum byte possible.

MTN Do Not Disturb : Meaning, Benefits, How to Deactivate and Dialing Codes

HOW TO ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE DO NOT DISTURB
Recently, MTN Nigeria implemented Do Not Disturb (DND) Policy as directed by Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) which has the effect of blocking bulk SMS and other third party SMS from reaching MTN subscribers phone numbers. This policy affects about half of MTN subscribers phone numbers because it appears that MTN has automatically activated the DND Service on many lines even without the owners consent.

Due to this unforeseen event, the delivery rate of our bulk SMS has reduced because persons who previously received bulk SMS no longer do so as MTN has automatically activated DND Service on their lines.

To help resolve the issue of non delivery of bulk SMS to MTN numbers with activated DND Service, we decided to educate our esteemed customers and by extention their customers/members on how to de-activate the DND Service on their lines and start getting bulk SMS delivered to their phones.

As a bulk SMS user, if you notice that bulk SMS are no longer delivered to some MTN numbers on your contact list after confirming your sent SMS delivery status, contact all those on your cantact list or those concerned using the regular SMS on your phone just once.

You will have to inform them to send "ALLOW" to 2442 to disable the DND Service.

To check if your line is being limited by the DND Service if you have an MTN line, do the following:

Text "STATUS" to 2442 to confirm your status on the DND Service if you are active or not.
Once the above is done, you will get a feedback confirming if DND Service is active on your line or not. If its active,

First, Text "STOP" to 2442 to opt-in. Then Text "ALLOW" to 2442 to de-activate the to enable you receive bulk SMS on your MTN line.
After the above is done, you will then receive a confirmation SMS that you have been "successfully deactivated" from the MTN Do Not Disturb Service.

MTN XtraByte is a newly introduced service that lets eligible active prepaid customers borrow data on credit when they run out of data while browsing and pay back on their next recharge.

I see this as a welcome idea knowing I vividly remember when similar service was launched by MTN some years but was only for airtime (Call Cards) so giving its subscribers the option to borrow data is a good innovation because many people now prefer to have data on their Smartphones than having call airtime. Am one of those that prefer data to airtime (lolz). I don’t know about you.

1.     MTN 100% DOUBLE DATA IMEI TWEAKING CONFIGURATION - DOUBLE YOUR MTN DATA VIA IMEI TWEAKING
2.     SLIIDE AIRTIME APP | GET FREE MTN, GLO, ETISALAT, AIRTEL CREDIT
3.     CHEAPEST EVER DATA BUNDLES FROM MTNDATA.COM.NG

Interesting thing about this offer is that you can borrow airtime through MTN XtraTime, also borrow “data through XtraByte” as long as you are eligible for
the services. So both voice and data options are there for you.

Have you ever run out of data while doing some important browsing or download online? MTN Xtra Byte is here for you to borrow data and finish whatever you were doing.

Who is Eligible for MTN XtraByte?

The primary target market for XtraByte is all active MTN’s prepaid subscribers.

To check if you are eligible for this MTN XtraByte service, dial the USSD code on MTN sim, *606# and then choose 1.

In addition, customers are required to meet the following criteria to be eligible:

- SIM must be registered
- Customer’s number must have been active on the network for at least 3 months.
- Customer’s main account balance must be between N0 and N12.

Additionally, you have to make a recharge and usage of at least N500 within a month to be able to use any of the XtraTime or XtraByte services.

Eligible customers also have advantage of borrow data even if he or she have an existing airtime debt that are not yet pay back and as long as customers are still within their credit limit. Customer can pay back amount of the data borrowed will be deducted once subscriber recharge or receive airtime via Share N Sell or any other means.

Meaning that, to payback XtraByte data borrowed customer must recharge his or her account and the amount of data borrowed is first deducted from the recharge amount and the balance, if any, will then be loaded in his/her main account.

For example if a subscriber owing N220 XtraByte and recharge N500 credit card the N220 owed is first deducted from the recharge, then N280 will be loaded into the subscriber's main account. In cases where the recharge amount is less than the outstanding XtraByte data amount, next recharges will be used to recover whatever is outstanding until the debt is fully recovered.
