REGISTER A MTN SIM CARD INFORMATION USING TEXT MESSAGE | PHONE

Re-Registration of Disconnected Subscribers

Following the expiration of the deadline for SIM registration, MTN has deactivated unregistered subscribers as directed by the Nigerian Communications Commission. We therefore wish to inform affected subscribers that they can reconnect their lines by visiting the nearest MTN service centre, connect store or SIM registration point. We have set up registration points in several places for this purpose.
On arrival, you will be required to complete the SIM registration process or update your personal information and provide biometric data, after which your SIM card will be re-activated as soon as possible.

We urge all affected customers not to panic, as our team of customer service officers are more than ready to assist in reactivating their lines once they have completed their SIM registration as mandated by the NCC.

How to Update SIM CARD Information Using Text Message and PHONE

Due to the long queues and on needed delays currently being experience by Nigerians that are try to update their personal information with MTN Nigeria based on the directive of the National Communication Commission, the company has now perfected other ways of achieving the stated objective and reduce the stress of Nigerians.
In a message circulated on social media platform, they are asking Nigerian to send 'YES' to 799 if they which to update they SIM card information using the records available on their BVN registration.

The system is safe from fraud and will automatically update your information with MTN. When I tried it, the response I got was that update failed but I am sure MTN will look at the problem and get the system working.

To update your SIM card registration on your phone using sms, kind send YES as a text message to 799
